PSCAD Modelling and Renewable Integration Studies
Workshop Outline
This three-day, hands-on PSCAD course is designed to be highly interactive, with a focus on modern grid connection requirements and the challenges associated with inverter-based resource (IBR)-dominant systems. The course covers key engineering principles and practical applications relevant to engineers working in utilities, consulting, and research.
Participants will gain an overview of inverter-based technologies, including both grid-forming and grid-following approaches, along with important network modeling considerations.
Throughout the course, practical tutorials based on real-world case studies will be used to demonstrate common challenges and effective solutions for today’s evolving electric grid.
